Research On The Coordinated Development Of Regional Economy From The Perspective Of Heterogeneous Space

Since China put forward the coordinated development of regional economy in the Ninth FiveYear Plan,the starting point of eliminating the disparity of regional economic development through the strategy of coordinated development of regional economy has not changed,although its strategic focus has been constantly adjusted.Therefore,how to recognize the disparity of regional economic development and to promote the coordinated development of regional economy on this basis has become a problem that must be solved.So,how to measure the regional economic disparity reflects the researchers' understanding of the coordinated development of regional economy.This paper finds that the existing literature is based on GDP and GDP per capita when measuring regional economic disparities.This paper holds that there is an implicit assumption in such a research idea that space is homogeneous.There is a gap between the hypothesis of homogeneous space and the space development conditions of realistic differentiation,which will lead to the dilemma of deviation between the goal of coordinated development of regional economy and the reality of regional economy.Therefore,this paper chooses the research theme of coordinated development of regional economy under the heterogeneous space,tries to put forward the concept of coordinated development of regional economy in heterogeneous space,and constructs theoretical and empirical models to reveal the mechanism of influencing coordinated development of regional economy in heterogeneous space.Therefore,this paper focuses on the following work: first,defining the concept of coordinated development of regional economy in heterogeneous space;second,building a theoretical model of coordinated development of regional economy in heterogeneous space;third,empirical research on coordinated development of regional economy in China on the basis of the first two work.Firstly,this paper analyses the literature of coordinated development of regional economy,and finds that the essence of coordinated development of regional economy is to deal with the relationship between different regional units.Therefore,from the perspective of dealing with the relationship between regions,this paper holds that the coordinated development of regional economy is based on the conditions of regions are open to each other,relying on their own factor endowment conditions,each regional unit interacts with the economic main body,realizes the sustainable development of regional economy.Ultimately,all regional units will achieve common development and the overall sustainable and efficient development of regional economy,and it has three characteristics: dynamic,heterogeneous and holistic.Secondly,by analyzing the relationship between economic subject and location,this paper concludes that under the condition of heterogeneous economic subject and factor endowment,the matching of economic subject and location determines the judgment of regional economic development.Based on this,the paper constructs a theoretical model of coordinated development of regional economy.By analyzing the model,this paper finds that in the process of the matching of economic subject and location,the free flow of economic subject among regions brings about regional connection.And the increase of inter-regional linkages will contribute to the enhancement of the capacity of economic subject and the improvement of the endowment conditions of location,and will further promote the cumulative causal cycle of the matching of economic agents and locations.Therefore,under the interaction between regions,the matching of economic subject and locations is optimized.Finally,the economic development of each region reaches the optimal state,while the overall regional economy also achieves coordinated development.Finally,this paper constructs indicators reflecting the coordinated development of regional economy in heterogeneous space from two aspects of economic subject mobility and location nature,and makes an empirical study on the coordinated development of regional economy in China.The empirical results show that,from 1997 to 2016,China has achieved remarkable results in promoting the coordinated development of regional economy,and the level of coordinated development of regional economy has been continuously improved.And in the heterogeneous space,the education level of economic subjects and per capita investment in fixed assets are important channels to promote the coordinated development of regional economy.In addition,the robustness test results of this paper show that,compared with per capita GDP,the indicators to measure the coordinated development of regional economy based on the nature of economic subject and location can reflect the economic development of each region more comprehensively.
