Study On The Transformation And Development Of Leisure Tourism Villages In Southern Jiangsu Based On The “Rural Complex” Mode

From the very beginning,the Fourth Plenary Session of the 16 th CPC Central Committee formally proposed to build a new socialist countryside as a starting point,then in 2014 the national plan for new urbanization successively made it clear that it is necessary to build beautiful villages with distinctive features,till now the strategy of rural vitalization at the 19 th CPC National Congress is put into force,the significance of rural leisure tourism as a major carrier of rural development has gradually become evident.As a main point of the rural poverty alleviation policy,rural tourism not only plays a vital role in the improvement of human settlement and infrastructure,but also is an important path and means for the strategy of overall rural vitalization.As a catalyst for rural development,rural tourism will boost the supply-side structural reform of agriculture,and at the same time greatly promote the development of urban-rural integration of new-type urbanization.Rural tourism is also transforming from the pointline development to the broader overall development.The villages of southern Jiangsu in Yangtze River Delta have relatively advanced economic and social conditions.These villages have made bold explorations and innovations in rural leisure tourism and made certain achievements.However,during the development of rural tourism,some problems have also emerged in these villages.For instance,low levels of specialization and scale of agriculture,single participants and weak linkages between industries.Such development on a single aspect will definitely lead to the lack of long-lasting vitality in leisure tourism villages,which will ultimately conduce to the decline of these areas.Therefore,it is extremely urgent for the leisure tourism village to achieve transformation and development.Based on that background,this paper put forward a new development mode-Rural Complex,on the basis of that,the goal is to grasp the key issues and to provide suggestions for the transformation and development of leisure tourism villages in southern Jiangsu.This paper adopts a combination of literature citation,theoretical and empirical research,summarizes the problems during the development of leisure tourism villages in southern Jiangsu and proposes strategies to provide advices for decision making and theoretical support for the transformation and development of leisure tourism rural villages in this area.At the same time,it also provides references for other leisure tourism rural areas.First of all,the thesis explores the relevant theoretical studies of pastoral complexes,put forward the connotation and development ideas of pastoral complexes,and makes comparative analysis between “Rural Complex” and “Beautiful Village”.The author further indicates that Rural Complex is the breakthrough point in the supply-side structural reform of agriculture,and it also is a new engine and great momentum for leisure tourism in rural areas.Secondly,based on the investigation and analysis of leisure tourism village in southern Jiangsu,the thesis analyzes the evolution process through the development of leisure tourism rural villages,summarizes the main problems existing in the current transformation of this type of villages and predicts the future trend of development.Thirdly,the paper discusses the practicability of constructing “Rural Complex” mode in the leisure tourism villages in southern Jiangsu and put forward five strategies for the transformation and development under the “Rural Complex” mode: solidify the foundation of production,build an industrial system,protect the ecological foundation,innovate the operating mode and improve the service system.Finally,the author empirically tests the results of the theoretical research with “Rural Complex in the East” of Yangshan Town in Wuxi city as an example.
