Research On The International Competitiveness Of China's Photovoltaic Industry Caused By Foreign Anti-Dumping

With the gradual depletion of conventional energy and the increasingly serious of environmental pollution,the new energy industry represented by photovoltaic industry has attracted much attention from all over the world.Since twenty-first Century,in support of the government and finance,China's photovoltaic industry is showing growth spurt and has formed a relatively complete industrial chain.In recent years,due to the global financial crisis,the European debt crisis and the prevalence of trade protectionism,China's photovoltaic industry suffered anti-dumping investigations from the United States,the European Union,India,Australia and other countries.The once-watched photovoltaic industry has been hit hard.Therefore,studying the damage caused by anti-dumping investigations to the international competitiveness of China's photovoltaic industry will help our PV industry recognize its advantages and disadvantages,properly handle the opportunities and challenges brought about by the complicated international competition environment.By actively responding to the anti-dumping investigation of foreign countries,the sustainable development of the photovoltaic industry can be further realized.This paper firstly illustrated the anti-dumping and photovoltaic industry international competitiveness theory and discussed the effects of anti-dumping on photovoltaic industry in our country.Then,analyzed the present situation of the export trade of China's photovoltaic industry from the perspectives of total exports,product structure and market flow,introduced the situation and reasons of China's export photovoltaic industry encountering anti-dumping in different countries.Used international market share index(IMS),comparative advantage index(RCA)and trade competitive index(TC)preliminarily measured the international competitiveness of China's photovoltaic industry.Through the causality test,it was concluded that the implementation of anti-dumping did harm to the international competitiveness of China's photovoltaic industry.In order to make more accurate and objective analysis,this paper constructed a comprehensive index system of China's photovoltaic industry's international competitiveness under the anti-dumping background.Through the empirical research results,we concluded that since the end of 2011,China's PV industry had encountered anti-dumping investigations from different countries,and the international competitiveness had been seriously weakened.At the same time,this kind of damage has a short time effect.In the third years after the anti-dumping,the international competitiveness of China's photovoltaic industry will appear a restorative growth and rebound.However,the photovoltaic industry in China still exposes many problems and needs a longer period of recovery.Finally,this paper put forward some suggestions on how to deal with foreign antidumping and enhanced the international competitiveness of China's photovoltaic industry.
