The enterprise is compelled to provide value-added products and services by adjusting products structure and shortening the development cycle under the circumatance of economic globalization and technology's rapid development. As is well-known,Innovation not only is an effective competitive weapon in the market, but a critical factor helping companies to gain competitive advantage. However, there are prominent tensions including the living environment's intensified competitiveness, differentiation and low-cost,flexibility and control and so on.The study of leadership and ambidexterity theories believe that managers'paradoxical thinking and behavior pattern play an essential role in constructing the organization, team and individual ambidexterity model and promoting the innovation performance.Based on the reviews and summarizes of leadership theory, ambidexterity theory and contingency theory, paradoxical leadership is refined as a leadership combines contradictory and integrated thinking including high performance expectations(task aspect)and strong managerial support(support aspect). And employees' ambidextrous behaviors are meaning that individuals work on both exploration activities and exploitation activities to solve the conflict between the efficiency and innovation. Therefore, the influence process model of paradoxical leadership, employees' ambidextrous behaviors and innovation performance under the condition of task uncertainty has been constructed.Then,pre-questionnaires was prepared according to the existing maturity scale and revised based on the suggestions of experts and professors to form a formal questionnaire. Finally,With a data sample of 259 employees, this research conducted hierarchical regression analysis and structural equation model to testify the path relationship in the hypothetical model with mathematical statistical software SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 17.0.Results reveal that:(1)There is a significant positive effect of paradoxical leadership and their high performance expectations and strong managerial support on corporate innovation performance, and paradoxical leadership can more effectively promote corporate innovation than a single leadership style for high performance expectations or strong managerial support;.(2)Not only employees' ambidextrous behaviors play a mediation role in the relationship between the paradoxical leadership and corporate innovation performance, but also the employees' exploration behaviors play a mediation role in the relationship between the high performance expectations and corporate innovation performance, strong managerial support and corporate innovation performance. But the mediation effect of employees'exploitation behaviors has not been verified;(3)Task uncertainty has a significant strengthening effect on the positive relationship between paradoxical leadership and corporate innovation performance. The innovation points of this research are:First of all,due to the limitations of the existing ambidexterity study which mostly starting from the level of organizations, teams or business units, this study will increase the exploration of ambidexterity theory at the individual level and.Secondly, avoid the research has only limited the influence of single leadership style on the ambidexterity and innovation performance, confirming the role of paradoxical leadership in the ambidexterity behaviors and innovation management.Furthermore, explore the intrinsic mechanism of paradoxical leadership on innovation performance from employees'ambidextrous behaviors the,not only to provide a new theoretical perspective for the relationship between paradoxical leadership and innovation performance, but also provides a new approach for the study of ambidexterity abilities' construction. Finally, testify the context role of task uncertainty between the paradoxical leadership and innovation performance supplementing the theoretical support for choosing appropriate leadership.
