Research On The Value Evaluation Of Domain Name

The domain name is the foundation and the trademark of the enterprise on the Internet.In the era of information,the Internet applications are developing in a high speed.In the development of enterprises,the effect of domain names has become remarkable,and meanwhile the transaction of domain names is gradually rising.It is common for enterprises to get domain names through the trading market.But it is an urgent problem to find out how to evaluate the value of the domain name.This article focuses on the determination and evaluation of the value of domain names.This paper starts from the analysis of the attribute of the domain name and find that the domain name has the feature of intangible assets.Then,this paper has analyzed the inapplicability of traditional evaluation methods.In order to evaluate the value of domain name in a more scientific way,we can take the evaluation method of "4Cs" as a reference.However,this method does not take into account the differences in the transaction status of domain names in home and broad as well as the link between the domain name value and the company,so this paper improves the method by combining the actual transaction status of domestic domain names:To subdivide the rating standards for the commercial value and add two indicators of the company attribute of domain name.At last this paper verified the improved evaluation method of "4Cs" through the specific cases.The improved method can be better applied to the value evaluation of trading market of the domestic domain name,which can provide a more accurate value system and judgment criteria of mortgage loans,leasing and investors in Chinese domain name market.
