With the rapid development of China's market economy,the economic growth model has gradually shifted from extensive to intensive,and science and technology have become an important driving force.The development of science and technology service industry led by knowledge innovation is an important measure to deepen the integration of market economy and science and technology.The industrial competitiveness of science and technology service industry is also directly related to the development level of regional economy.At present,Jilin Province is facing a new round of opportunities for revitalizing development.To accelerate the supply-side reform,strengthen industrial adjustment in the province,and build a new type of industrial structure system,Jilin Province will make it a priority to increase the competitiveness of science and technology service industry.Scholars at home and abroad have studied the industrial competitiveness earlier.After years of exploration,a relatively scientific and reasonable evaluation system of industrial competitiveness has been drawn.The evaluation system based on Porter's diamond model has been widely used.In recent years,scholars have become increasingly aware of the similarities between industrial development and ecosystems,and have increasingly applied the niche theory to the field of industrial competitiveness.This article evaluates the competitiveness of science and technology service industry in Jilin Province from the perspective of niche.Specifically this article reviews the research status of the research field at home and abroad,and summarizes related theories such as science and technology service industry,niche theory,and industrial competitiveness.and uses "new diamond model" based on scientific and technological innovation as reference,the impact factors of the science and technology service industry are analyzed from the six dimensions of factors of production,demand conditions,industry synergy,market structure,technological innovation capability,policies and systems.and this paper used the structural equation model method to determine the evaluation index system of the technology service industry competitiveness.Using the niche situation theory to measure the model to measure the level of niche of science and technology service industry in 30 provinces and cities across the country.This paper analyzes the results of the evaluation of the niche of science and technology services and summarizes the current status of the development of the science and technology service industry in Jilin Province,and concludes that “the comprehensive niche value of the science and technology service industry in Jilin Province is at a moderately low level.However,the niche value of some sub-dimensions has continued to rise.” The conclusions are based on the analysis of the problems of inadequate capital investment,imperfect science and technology intermediary system,unbalanced distribution of talents,and lack of motivation for development,which hinder the improvement of the niche level of the science and technology service industry in Jilin Province.This urgently requires to improve the ecosystem of science and technology service industry from multiple aspects based on the development status of Jilin Province and the application of niche theory in the field of industrial competition.This paper proposes specific countermeasures and suggestions for the integration of ecological niche competition and industrial development,such as niche extension and innovation cooperation,niche separation and collaborative symbiosis,niche competition and independent development,niche stabilization and advantage utilization.Not only has it broadened the application of niche theory,but it has also enriched and improved research on industrial competitiveness.
