| Since the reform and opening-up,the level of industrialization in China has been continuously improving,which has promoted the rapid development of national economy.However,there are a series of problems in the process of industrial development,such as industrial pollution,structural assimilation,extensive management,and inefficiency.These realities not only wastes a lot of valuable land resources but also destroys the ecological environment,which would be extremely unfavorable to the sustainable development of China's social economy.Analyzing the industrial land use efficiency will promote China's industrial upgrading and the healthy,stable and coordinated development of the national economy.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the scientific problems of industrial land use efficiency.In this study,the "industrial wastes" emissions were included as undesirable outputs into the output evaluation index system,and the SBM model was constructed to measure the industrial land use efficiency of the 55 counties(cities or districts)in Jiangsu Province from 2001 to 2015.Then,it revealed the spatial relativity of industrial land use efficiency in Jiangsu Province,and tested the convergence of σ and β.Finally,the spatial econometric analysis method was used to explain the regional difference of industrial land use efficiency,and explore in depth the reasons for the differences of utilization efficiency in different regions.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The emission of "industrial wastes" as an undesirable output caused a certain loss to the industrial land use efficiency.From 2001 to 2015,the comprehensive technical efficiency of industrial land use,the pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency all have been presented with the trend of "first decline and then rise".Specifically,it appears as a gradient difference in South Jiangsu > Middle Jiangsu > North Jiangsu.Moreover,the industrial land use efficiency in Jiangsu Province has generally improved by 1.060 from 2001 to 2015,which mainly attributes to technological progress.(2)There are significant spatial autocorrelations of industrial land use efficiency in all counties(cities or districts)of Jiangsu Province.The industrial land use efficiency in South Jiangsu and Middle Jiangsu is higher,but with a lower in North Jiangsu.The "high-high" and "low-low" spatial agglomeration phenomena are obvious.The efficiency of industrial land use in Jiangsu Province has the significant characteristics of σ convergence and absolute β convergence.The condition β convergence results showed that there were conditional β convergence in Jiangsu Province and its three regions from 2001 to 2015,which showed a tendency to converge their own steady-state levels.Due to differences in the economic environment between South Jiangsu,Middle Jiangsu,and North Jiangsu,the convergence speed varied and converged to different steady-state levels.The industrial land use efficiency of Jiangsu province has evolved slowly to equilibrium.(3)The Spatial Durbin Model with time fixed effect is more suitable for the analysis of the change of industrial land use efficiency and the spatial differentiation.The results showes that geo-proximity promotes the correlation and spatial spillover of industrial land among counties(cities or districts)in Jiangsu Province in different degrees.Economic development level,urbanization rate,industrial structure industrial land use intensity,and foreign investment output ratio have a positive effect on the industrial land use efficiency in Jiangsu Province.And there is a negative affect between the proportion of industrial employees and the efficiency of industrial land use.There are significant differences in regional economic development levels,urbanization levels,and industrial structure,which have resulted in a differentiation pattern of Jiangsu's industrial land use efficiency.As a result,the efficiency of industrial land use in Jiangsu Province has formed the spatial distribution pattern of South Jiangsu> Middle Jiangsu> North Jiangsu. |
