Research On Business Incubator Performance Of Guangdong Province Based On Survival Analysis

The development of China's business incubators has been going on for 30 years.In recent years,the incubator has developed rapidly.Its number and scale have leapt to the top in the world.Enhancing the development quality of incubators to play their functions better has become the main direction for the future development and management of China's incubators.The quality improvement of incubator is based on the improvement of incubator performance.There are many factors affecting performance and the impact mechanism is complex.Although the evaluation system of incubator performance is diversified,it is difficult to form a more objective unified understanding because of the limitations of data.From the perspective of incubator positioning,nurturing sta rt-ups and helping start-ups to survive the “death trap” of the start-up period and forming a sustainable development capability is fundamental factors for the existence of incubator,and the incubating performance of incubating enterprises is an important measure of incubator performance.Therefore,starting from the function of the incubator,this paper aims to understand the incubator performance from the point of incubation time to provide theoretical and reference significance for objectively understanding the development quality of current incubators and improving their performance.This paper firstly combs the definition of business incubator by scholars at home and abroad to clarify the research object of this paper,sort out the classification of incubator and the research of service,summarizes the index system and content commonly used in incubator performance evaluation in the literature and the influencing factors that lead to differences in incubator performance,through the analysis of the impact mechanism formed the research ideas of this paper.The measurement model was constructed based on the differences in the characteristics of variables and measurement methods.The main work results and conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The current evaluation of incubator performance is usually studied from the perspective of “quantitative” output,ignoring the dynamics and efficiency of the incubation process.Therefore,this paper starts from the different understanding of “performance” and uses the incubation time as the entry point of incubation performance,establish the basis for performance evaluation and influencing factors research,and use survival analysis method to construct the appropriate measurement model for the data type characteristics of dependent variables.(2)Based on the incubator classification research of different founders,we explored the differences in incubation performance(incubation time)between different incubator types and concluded that incubators established by different entities ultimately resulted in different incubation performance due to differences in their resource structure,goals,and behavior choices.(3)Based on the perspective of “cooperative production”,the incubator performance is affected by the common factors of incubators and incubators.Therefore,the influencing factors of different incubation performance are studied from the incubator and incubating enterprises,which mainly demonstrate the incubator services,funds,and Entrepreneur characteristics have an impact on incubation performance.
