With economic and information development,organizational structure and employment relations are changing.The traditional career management is significantly affected,and the boundaryless career mode is emerging.As a new career management mode,the most important features of boundaryless career is the independent across of employment boundary,it means the realization of career goal in this trend will no longer rely or focus on only one organization department or enterprise.With the emergence of boundaryless career,career management has got new guiding philosophy,its appearance lead employees to focus on improving their own ability and professional skills based on dynamic employment environment,put forward higher requirements on individual ability and also brings a new topic to the traditional professional success evaluation standard.This paper makes an empirical analysis of the importance of boundaryless career from the perspective of job competitiveness.Firstly,the paper summarizes the research theories related to boundaryless career and job competitiveness.The survey is developed on the basis of previous studies and proposes a hypothesis that boundaryless career has significant influence on the job competitiveness.Secondly,the survey was conducted among employees of selected enterprises,and samples were analyzed by using SPSS.The research hypothesis is positively supported by mathematical analysis result,which proves the importance of boundaryless career to individual competitiveness at workplace.Finally,referring to the previous career management theories,the author makes recommendations about employee career management on the basis of boundaryless career.The main conclusions of this study include:(1)In the survey,the boundaryless career management model and job competitiveness are significantly positively correlated.(2)There were no statistical difference between individual factors and boundaryless career or job competitiveness,individual factors refer to gender,marital status,job type and workexperience.On the other hand,age and educational background have a significant influence on boundaryless career mode and individual job competitiveness.(3)Based on the questionnaire scale,we can establish a hierarchical regression model for tendency of boundaryless career and the level of individual competitiveness at workplace,and further verify the relationship between the two variable.
