With the steady and high-quality development of China's economy, the regional economic development in China is flourishing. The central urbanization work conference held at the end of 2013 put forward the “two horizontal and three vertical” urbanization strategic pattern to optimize the layout and form of urbanization. In regions with favorable conditions in the central and western regions and northeastern regions, relying on market forces and national planning guidance,we will gradually develop and form a number of urban agglomerations, which will become important growth poles for the development of the central and western regions and the Northeast region.Located in the middle of the Yangtze River,Hubei is in an significant strategic position in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and is in an important period of provoking the burden of the vital pillars of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Hubei's economy has actively built up its economic development, increasing the construction of economic growth points, accelerating the development of regional sub-central cities as engines of economic development, increasing the scope of economic radiation, driving the development of surrounding small and medium-sized cities, and promoting the rapid development of Hubei. This article aims at the construction of the bigger cities.Firstly this article reviews the theories and models of regional sub-central cities' influence on regional economies by domestic and foreign scholars, and summarizes the theoretical perspectives of these scholars.Secondly, the article adds Xiangyang and Yichang as a comparison to select the main economic data between 2005 and 2017 for comparison, observing its development trend. The article selects seven first-level indicators and 32 second-level indicators as research objects, and establishes an urban radiation capability system. The overall radiation intensity of the major aspects is measured by using the master analysis method to radiate seven aspects of sub-central cities, including economy, finance, and people's livelihood, and so on.Comparing with cities of the same level in Henan Province,it is found that the comprehensive radiation capacity of most cities lags behind that of the same city in Henan, and a few of them are equal, and the problems in the development of the bigger cities are analyzed.Through the analysis of model results on indicators and problems in the process of urban development, the bigger cities should be improved from the following aspects.First the bigger cities should speed up the construction of transportation networks, and deepen the integration of urban agglomerations, and improve the urban planning system, and emphasize the development of dislocations in different regions.Second, the bigger cities should build a modern urban industrial system, and create brand-name enterprises, and cultivate competitive advantages, and optimize industrial structure, and explore natural resources, and create brand-name products. Finally the bigger cities should strengthen the training and introduction of high-level talents, and build innovative talents to promote the high ground, and promote the bigger cities cities.rapid economic development.
