An Analysis Of The Factors Affecting The Export Of Chinese Agricultural Products To Japan

Since the policy of reform and opening up was conducted,China has accelerated the pace of foreign trade.The global trade has been rapidly developed and the various forms of trade cooperation have emerged.After the financial crisis in 2008,many countries were affected in varying degrees.The global economy began to recover in 2016 and economic globalization is accelerating further.Bilateral trade cooperation and multilateral trade cooperation have increased,and cooperation has been deepened.As a large agricultural country,China is rich in land and wealth.Japan was scarce in land and agricultural products.China and Japan are geographically adjacent and small differences in cultural.China's export volume of agricultural products to Japan continues to increase.Japan has become the largest exporter of Chinese agricultural products.Based on the span of eighteen years from 2000 to 2017,this paper was constructed a trade gravity extension model by used data related to agricultural trade between China and Japan.ADF test and cointegration test for time series were made by eviews6.0 regression model and the variables that affect the regression result of the model are eliminated so we can select the optimal combination of variables to study the factors influencing the export of Chinese agricultural products to Japan.According to the model regression results,the global export volume of Chinese agricultural products,Japan's GDP,the trade openness of the Japanese market,the competitiveness of Chinese agricultural products in the Japanese market,WTO are positively related to the export of China's agricultural to Japan.The number of technical barriers to trade(TBT)of agricultural products submitted by Japan to WTO is negatively correlated to it.The analysis shows that the higher the total export of Chinese agricultural products is,the stronger the supply capacity of domestic agricultural products and the higher the volume of agricultural product trade exported to Japan are.The higher Japan's GDP is,the greater domestic demand and the more agricultural products will be imported from China.The more open Japan's market is,the more trade opportunities the two countries have for imports and exports,which will boost China's agricultural exports to Japan.The more competitive China's agricultural products is in the Japanese market,the higher the market share is and the greater volume of agricultural products is imported from China.WTO promotes the trade between the two countries.According to the result of regression,this paper proposes some suggestions that China should increase the added value of agricultural products,improve the quality of agricultural products,strengthen supervision,use the international organizations to solve trade disputes,create brands,promote multilateral trade negotiations and so on.Strengthening communication between the two governments is helpful to reduce Japan's trade barriers to Chinese agricultural to promote the agricultral trade between the two countries.China should find new trading partners in the international market and avoid the trade risk caused by the concentration of agricultural products export.Expand the agricultural product market is critical to promote the export trade of Chinese agricultural products.
