Research Of Labor Cost In Construction Projects

Construction industry has long relied on abundant domestic labor force and occupied a certain development advantage in the domestic and foreign markets.Labor cost has always been a low proportion in construction projects.However,in recent years,China's labor costs are on the rise,which requires construction enterprises to correctly face the growth of labor costs,strive to find scientific cost management and control methods,and use new cost-saving strategies to achieve corporate profitability.Based on the theory of efficiency wage,total factor productivity and Lewis inflection point,this paper summarizes the main measures and achievements of construction enterprise management project labor cost at home and abroad through literature research,questionnaire survey and statistical analysis,and explores the artificial construction in construction projects.The existing problems in this management are analyzed.The current situation of labor cost management in China's construction projects is analyzed.The factors affecting the labor cost of construction projects are analyzed.On this basis,the improvement countermeasures of labor cost management are put forward from two aspects of government macro-control and enterprise micro-reform,and further combined with concrete measures.This paper discusses the effect of labor productivity on labor cost control in construction enterprises.Through the study of labor cost in construction projects,the following conclusions are from research:Firstly,the building industry is a labor-intensive industry,which needs a large number of labor force and low entry threshold for employees.The overall wage in the construction industry is at a lower level in the whole industry wage level.In addition,because the construction industry has the characteristics of high labor intensity,long working hours,poor employment environment and less social welfare security,it can not attract more people to choose to enter the industry.In addition,with the rising price level,the labor cost of the construction industry will continue to rise.Secondly,according to the ranking of importance,the main influencing factors of labor cost in construction industry are macroeconomic factors,industry factors,construction cost factors,employees factors,enterprise factors and engineering characteristics factors.According to the importance of individual indicators,the top 10 factors are labor supply and demand structure,residents'consumption level,total output value of construction industry,number of construction enterprises,number of employees,subcontracting times,labor productivity,industry-wide wage level,employment intention and enterprise management level.Thirdly,Starting from the two main bodies of government and enterprise,some strategies and ideas about controlling labor cost are put forward.From the government level,we should standardize the level of labor cost quota,strengthen the construction of information platform and promote wage negotiation mechanism;from the enterprise level,we should start to establish a high-level construction team with fixed personnel and improve labor.Dynamic productivity and strengthening project management level.Fourthly,this paper makes an example analysis of the relationship between labor productivity and labor cost,and the results verify the theory of efficiency wage:in the case of rising labor unit price,labor cost does not increase,and the cost is lower than that of quota valuation.The results show that even if the unit price of labor rises,the labor productivity increases correspondingly,and the increase of labor productivity can offset the increase of the unit price of labor.At the same time,it also shows that in the current overall trend of increasing labor costs,the mode of gaining profits by relying on cheap labor has long been outdated.Construction enterprises should change their management ideas and attract labor through scientific manual management and effective wage incentive mechanism,which also conforms to the third stage characteristics of Lewis inflection point theory.
