China's manufacturing industry urgently needs reform and upgrading against the backdrop of the country's supply-side reform,which creates a strong demand for high-caliber talent.There are three major models regarding the development of high-caliber talent:training and education provided by vocational and technical institutions,state-endorsed vocational qualification and certification,and enterprise-led talent training.Based on a comprehensive and comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the three models,this paper takes Hangzhou Wahaha Group Company as an example to offer a detailed analysis of the design and implementation of the third model,namely,enterprise-led training of high-caliber talent,and provides a multi-dimensional objective evaluation of the overall effect of this model.The paper adopts an innovative approach in carrying out detailed research in and analysis of the particular practice of Hangzhou Wahaha Group Company,a typical large-sized industry-leading enterprise in China.Previous studies on enterprise-led training of high-caliber talent,however,focused more on suggestions concerning the overall direction in which to push forward the work of talent training.By analyzing Hangzhou Wahaha Group Company's practice over a 7-year period as well as the related data and materials,this paper systematically discusses the background,design,and implementation of enterprise-led training of high-caliber talent.Drawing from the practice,this paper unequivocally proposes that "the enterprise-led training of high-caliber talent should be given generous support and encouragement",so as to ensure that the training of high-caliber talent is oriented by the practical needs of businesses and meets the particular requirements of different jobs and positions.By probing into the cases of Hangzhou Wahaha Group Company,this paper offers specific suggestions in three perspectives,namely prerequisite,design,and implementation,for other enterprises that opts to cultivate high-caliber talent on their own.
