Measurement And Evaluation Of The Scale Structure Of Urban System In Taiyuan Metropolitan Area

In the nineteen major report of the party,the general secretary of the party put forward a discussion on the coordinated development of the region.The report points out that a more effective regional coordinated development mechanism should be established.Meanwhile,we should take the urban agglomeration as the main body to build a coordinated urban development pattern of small and medium-sized cities and small towns,and accelerate the urbanization of population of agricultural transfer population.As early as in 2010,the party secretary of the Shanxi Provincial Committee proposed to build the framework of the city system of Shanxi Province,"one core circle,one city circle,three groups".Taiyuan metropolitan area is the whole drive Shanxi "a core group of around three of the bid",only to seize the core part of development can promote other areas to realize the coordinated development of Shanxi province better.In order to understand the scale of urban system in Taiyuan metropolitan area,we can make a better target and develop the Taiyuan metropolitan area.This paper first narrates the theory of urban scale distribution and the theory of regional development,and studies and discusses the related literature.It includes urban population scale primacy,rank size rule,urban scale Pyramid,population scale Gini coefficient,system entropy measurement,economic linkage intensity index and so on.This paper makes a quantitative analysis of the population and economic indicators of Taiyuan metropolitan area by using the classic models and formulas.These two important indicators are the common indicators to study the scale structure of the urban system,which can provide a good data model for the area to be studied.Based on these two kinds of analysis,based on the two angles of time and space,this paper puts forward some suggestions for promoting the coordinated development of Taiyuan metropolitan area.The concrete conclusions are as follows:(1)The primate city in the Taiyuan metropolitan area is higher than that in Shanxi province,indicating that the Taiyuan city,the primate city in the Taiyuan metropolitan area,is highly concentrated,but its scale is still small.It has a good foundation for the development of the city circle.However,the first degree is decreasing with time.This indicates that the core area of Taiyuan metropolitan area still needsto enhance its strength through the development of the third industry and population agglomeration.(2)The periphery of the core area of Taiyuan metropolitan area still has many cities and towns,such as low level of development,low level of urbanization and low level of economic structure,which indicates that the core area is not strong enough for the neighboring towns and lacks coordinated development mechanism.(3)The GDP and the per capita GDP in Taiyuan metropolitan area are higher than those in Shanxi.However,the internal economic differences in Taiyuan metropolitan area are relatively large,and the relative differences are slowly decreasing,indicating that other regions are developing rapidly and reducing the gap.About half of the urban economic structure is dominated by the second industry,which needs to be structured in terms of the economic development in the future.(4)From the strength of economic ties,the difference of each district is large,which is the main reason for the distance,economic level and population scale,so to strengthen economic ties should be better,the best articles in the economic structure and advantages of the enterprise,and the core area in the economic resources of communication,promote the coordinated development of the surrounding towns based on the core.
