Knowledge staff controls intellectual capital which is the most important production factor of the modern organization,so their personal performance significantly affects the realization of enterprises' goal.Contextual performance is an important part of personal performance,restricting the personal performance,and it's affected by personal social network in enterprises,so the thesis chooses the influence of the knowledge staff's social network on contextual performance as the starting point.In view of the vitality and status of private enterprises in the national economy,in order to facilitate the sample selection and focus on research points,the thesis chooses knowledge staff in private enterprises as object,researching the specific influence of their social network on contextual performance.The thesis takes personality traits as the moderator,researching how the social network affects contextual performance.Using in-depth interviews,survey and other methods,the 329 questionnaires are analyzed by SPSS software,and the main conclusions show that: firstly,knowledge staff's social network and its five dimensions in private enterprises have significant positive effect on contextual performance,and the influences of social network's five dimensions on contextual performance are different.Secondly,there are some differences about moderating effect of the relationship between knowledge staff's social network,social network's five dimensions in private enterprises and contextual performance when personality traits are moderators.The specific moderating effects of personality traits' five dimensions are as follows:(1)agreeableness has significant positive moderating effect,and the ranking of moderating effect is: network trust > network cohesion > mutual recognition > shared language > network scope;(2)extroversion has partially significant positive moderating effect,and extroversion has significant positive moderating effect on the relationship between network cohesion,network scope,network trust,mutual recognition and contextual performance,while extroversion has no significant positive moderating effect on the relationship between shared language and contextual performance,and the ranking of moderating effect is: network scope > network cohesion > mutual recognition > network trust;(3)openness has no significant positive moderating effect,and openness has significant positive moderating effect on the relationship between network scope and contextual performance,while openness has no significant positive moderating effect on the relationship between social network's other four dimensions and contextual performance;(4)neuroticism has no significant negative moderating effect,and neuroticism has significant negative moderating effect on the relationship between network cohesion and contextual performance,while neuroticism has no significant negative moderating effect on the relationship between social network's other four dimensions and contextual performance;(5)conscientiousness has no significant positive moderating effect.The main innovations of this thesis are: firstly,the thesis proposes the theoretical model about social network,personality traits and contextual performance;secondly,the thesis concludes the differences of the influence of social network's five dimensions on contextual performance: mutual recognition > network scope > network trust > network cohesion > shared language;thirdly,the thesis concludes the differences of the personality traits' moderating effect on the relationship between social network's five dimensions and contextual performance: some have significant positive moderating effects,while some have no significant positive moderating effects.
