The Costume Ethics Of Tang Dynasty And Its Contemporary Inspiration

The ethical world and the material world are just like two sides of one coin.Based on the historical materials,this paper explores the ethical principles contained in the clothing,and through the grasp of the principles,it gives the basic principles of the clothing in the ethical practice,so as to achieve the ultimate goal of harmonious relationship between people and clothing,people and environment,clothing and environment.The world of ancient Chinese ethics,with Confucianism as the main line and Taoism,Mohism and France as the branches,regulates the world of ancient Chinese clothing.The hierarchical order reflected by the costume system is the important content of ancient Chinese Confucian ethics.In the Tang Dynasty,the open and inclusive social and political environment collided with the complex and diverse schools of thought,which burst out endless new ideas that were absorbed by the costumes of the Tang Dynasty.Among them,women's wear of men's clothing and Hu's clothing of Han Dynasty are the evidence of the diversification of clothing in Tang Dynasty.The ethical thought of respecting rites and benevolence of Confucianism standardizes the basic framework of Tang Dynasty's clothing(especially the official clothing)according to the hierarchy.Since then,clothing has been detached from the basic natural functions and has the function of moral direction.The structure of dignity and inferiority in the costume system of Tang Dynasty is mainly embodied in the relationship between the monarch and the minister,father and son,husband and wife.Taoism advocates "Tao is natural" and fills in the content of clothing within the framework of clothing system,which makes the traditional clothing have the distinction between form and content.With the demise of the feudal monarchy,the framework of the costume system which is based on the concept of superiority and inferiority collapsed.The value of clothing is back to the people-oriented standard.
