Study On The Influence Of Regional Environment Differences On Costume Colors

Color is one of the three elements of clothing design(style, color, fabric), it can make people produce the first sensory impression on clothing. Clothing color has the dual attributes of matter and spirit. Proper use of color can make clothing both practical and artistic. It can bring visual impact to the viewer, highlight the personality characteristics of the wearer, so as to realize the cultural infection of clothing. The color of costumes in different regions will not be the same due to the different geographical environment. Owing to the differences of geographical elements, it creates a different geographical color environment, which can constitute a unique local color features, and also subtly affect the local people's color preferences.In modern times, the study on the color of folk costumes in Jiangnan and Southern Fujian need to be analyzed from three aspects of regional culture, costume culture and color culture, to explore the influences of regional environment differences on costume colors.First of all, this paper takes the regional costume color as the starting point of the research. It uses the method of literature survey to study the current situation of regional clothing color in China and abroad. Combining art, history, folklore, geography and other disciplines, this paper discusses the theoretical and practical significances of regional costume color research. The deficiencies and losses of the research on regional costume color in the area of current academic circles are pointed and the development trend of regional color culture in the future clothing design is hackled to complete the comprehensive research of regional costume color.Secondly, this paper measures the real colors of modern Jiangnan and southern Fujian folk costumes on the basis of the folk costumes Museum of Jiangnan University. With the application of HSV color model from hue, saturation, value three aspects, it analyzes the differences of the women's costume colors between the two places by qualitative description and quantitative analysis method. The study pointed out that costume colors are the external manifestation of regional culture. Next,combined with the research results of Luzhi town, Shengpu town in Suzhou of Jiangsu Province, and Chongwu town, Xiaozuo town in Huian County of Fujian Province, it summarizes the characteristics of the color of modern folk costumes and regional environment differences. This paper analyses the natural geographical environment factors through the light intensity, climate environment, water system and landscape, species resources four aspects, and analyses the social geographical environment factors through the customs, religious beliefs, history and culture, social environment four aspects. This paper pointed out that the natural geographical environment is one of the basic reasons for the influence of the folk costume colors. It is helpful to show the regional natural color characteristics, inherit and carry forward the Chinese Han nationality folk costume cultural heritage.Finally, on the basis of summarizing the status quo of the use of contemporary Chinese clothing brands' women's dress colors, this paper seeks the practical points of the application of regional costume colors in contemporary fashion design, and then makes contemporary Jiangnan and southern Fujian regional trends in the prediction of color trends. It combined with the design practice to apply to the specific use of fabric color and product development, in order to seek ways to realize the inheritance and development of regional color, and provide help for the protection of the intangible cultural heritage of the Han nationality in China.
