Urban Rainwater Plaza Design Based On Ecological Landscape Infrastructure

As a natural resource,rainwater plays an important role in purifying urban environment,regulating urban climate,supplementing urban groundwater,and nourishing urban ecology.Affected by the overdevelopment of urban environment and the manual control of the rainwater pipe network,the natural circulation process of rainwater has changed–the infiltration capability is weakened,and the runoff generation has accelerated with increased scale,which has caused a series of problems,such as urban inland inundation and runoff pollution,and has a negative impact on social functioning and urban ecology.Under the intensified influence of global climate change and the sustainable development of urbanization,the intensity and scale of this impact will continue to increase.According to the concept of modern city development,landscape infrastructure is the basic framework of organizing urban spatial form and bearing urban composite function,which can coordinate the relationship between nature and city,ecosystem and artificial system.In combination with ideas of ecological design,landscape infrastructure can be used as a system of dynamic development to intervene between the artificial realization and the natural environment,solve urban rain problems and realize the recycling of rainwater resources in a harmonious,efficient and sustainable ecological way.As the subject of study,urban squares are an important component of urban public space as well as an important node of urban texture;it is an urban infrastructure with combined functions and a good potential to manage rainwater and to become ecological landscape infrastructure.In recent years,different strategies and methods aimed at urban rainwater management at home and abroad.In countries such as the Netherlands,the rain plaza practice project has been implemented,which has provided specific methods for the urban rainwater management practice and rainwater plaza design in China.
