With the rapid development of automotive industry,automotive dashboards are also developing in the direction of informationization and intellectualization.Now most of the dashboards used in engineering vehicles in our country are traditional electromechanical instruments with bad anti-interference ability,low precision and unfriendly interface,which need to be upgraded.At the same time,CAN-bus is widely applied in vehicle communication network with the increase of vehicle functions and electronic control units.As a field bus with high performance and reliability,there are some characteristics of CAN-bus that are high data transmission rate,strong anti-interference ability and simple wiring.With application of CAN-bus,wiring harness and the complexity of wiring can be reduced.Furthermore,a simple,efficient and reliable communication network will be provided for data transmission and sharing of electronic control units in vehicles.In this paper,based on the development of vehicle instrumentation and the specific requirements of engineering vehicles,a dashboard system based on CAN-bus was designed.Firstly,the overall design scheme of the system was given,in which LP2119 of NXP was selected as the main control chip to realize CAN-bus communication and the input and the output of other information data.In addition,interactive interface was composed of LCD,electric pointer and indicator lamp.Secondly,on this basis,the hardware platform of the system was designed,containing the detailed design of power supply regulator module,minimum system circuit,stepper motor drive module,CAN-bus communication,LCD interface,signal conversion circuit,alarm light prompting module.Finally,based on the hardware platform,the software platform was designed,containing the main program of micro-control which was developed by the modular development idea using C language,and a generous and beautiful LCD screen interface system with rich functions and convenient operation.After the operation and test of the dashboard system,the reliability and rationality of the dashboard system of engineering vehicles based on CAN-bus designed in this paper was shown,which met the development requirements of the instrument of engineering vehicles.
