With the rapid development of the electronic technology, automotive electronic degree has become more and more advanced in today’s world. Especially with the development of embedded technology, the electronic modules and automotive equipment are increasing constantly in the automotive. And the reliability and intelligent of the automotive electronics have developed rapidly. In automotive systems, automotive dashboard is the interaction interface between people and automotive, and provides the required information for drivers, such as the auto operating parameters, the fault, the mileage and so on. Automotive dashboard is an essential part of per automotive. However, the traditional electromechanical analog dashboard has couldn’t meet the requirements of precision stability and a large number of complex information. In future, automotive dashboard will become the center of the multi-function information display. The vehicle integrated information system and the digital and intelligent automotive dashboard must be bound to the trends and the main direction of the automotive dashboard development.Combining the advantages of traditional dashboard and digital dashboard, this paper presents and designs successfully an automobile digital virtual dashboard based on μC/OS-Ⅱ. This paper selected Fujitsu’s system LSI chip the MB86R01as the core of the automotive dashboard. The chip is based on the ARM926EJ-STM core16/32bit RISC embedded microprocessor, and integrates the Graphic Display Controller, in-car communication function, and a variety of media interface. The chip has faster processing speed and higher performance and more feature-rich. As the same time, the chip can handle the data from the navigation device or a digital dashboard and vehicle network information so as to improve the comfort of the driving environment, while achieving high-quality images and video show.In order to simplify the communication lines of the electronic equipment and save a lot of wiring harness to improve the safety and reliability, the paper joins the CAN bus communication, and see automotive dashboard as an automotive CAN bus node. Moreover, the paper uses CAN controller and receiver to collect speed, motor speed, battery power and current for electric automotive. And then the MB86R01microprocessor analyzes and deals with the information, and sends to the LCD screen to display. In addition, the paper selects the GHC V2.0software to create the necessary graphics library, and generates the GDC application source code specified by Fujitsu to make the MB86R01microprocessor call. This simplifies the establishment of the automotive virtual dashboard graphics library, while users can design more advanced man-machine interface, which rich the information of the dashboard. The main tasks of this paper include:the hardware circuit design of the system, that include the MB86R01core circuit module, the power module, the CAN bus data acquisition module, One of NAND Flash module and the video display module; in software, to complete the real-time embedded operating system μC/OS-Ⅱ transplantation on the MB86R01, CAN bus communication and the real-time display of the reverse image. The electric automotive digital virtual dashboard designed in this paper, achieves the virtual all-digital display and CAN bus communication, and completes real-time display of the multi-task operation and reverse image, which not only increase real-time respond of the dashboard, but improve the processing and capabilities of the dashboard, while speed up the progress of software development, and save the cost, and improve the security of the automotive drives.
