The Mini tiller is an easily-operated and light-weight agricultural machinery which is widespread popular in the mountainous and hilly areas of China.However,the approach to design a Mini tiller for main designing institute is the traditional 2D design,which is relatively backward with a set of issues such as the parametric design to parts and assembly can't be realized,the data for redesign is hard to utilize,and files are preserved in paper.Intriguingly,the 3D parametric design is a systemic approach to solving the aforementioned problems.In addition,the design data produced by 3D parametric design can be standardized managed through the network database.Therefore,it is necessary to investigate the effect of 3D parametric design system for typical parts of the Mini tiller.In this paper,It focus on studying the 3D parametric design system of typical parts of the Mini tiller on account of exploring design theory and development of Siemens NX(NX)software.The main contents and results are as follows:(1)According to the 3D design standard of China,the standardization environment of 3D parametric design for typical parts of the Mini tiller based on NX software was customized,and the modeling,assembly and engineering drawing formwork were also created.(2)Through the development of NX software,3D parameterized modeling and automatic projection of engineering drawings for the handling frame and rotary tillage knife assembly,the typical parts of the Mini tiller,were realized.(3)A 3D parametric model library with a quickly response is established for the typical parts of the Mini tiller by the aid of the Reuse library function of NX and SIEMENS Teamcenter PLM system(Teamcenter system),(4)The management of design data has been investigated for the typical parts of micro based on Teamcenter system.The attributes are mapped between object in Teamcenter system and the data in the design,and the approval based on network and electronic signing of the 3D parametric design data based on the Teamcenter system are also realized.
