In order to promote the effective international communication of dance sport,a large number of high-quality talents who both master the professional knowledge of dance sport and the excellent English skill urgently need to be cultivated here in China.As the educational concept updating,bilingual education has become the hot spot of the educational reform.The ministry of education has issued The Advices to Improve the Teaching Quality in Universities,which has been explicitly stipulated to teach subjects using English or other foreign languages.In addition,the reform of physical education in universities has put forward that the physical education should move to the developmental direction coordinating with nature of fitness,culture,entertainment and times in the new century.Dance sport,a fusion of sport and art,has been enjoying tremendous popularity among universities.For meeting the social needs,responding to the call for bilingual education from the authority and following the reform direction of college physical education,it is consequent to apply bilingual education method to the dance sport among universities.Therefore,it's significant to discuss and study how to properly put bilingual education on dance sport into practice.Taking the Teaching Design as theoretical support,drawing on the theory and experience of bilingual education from both China and aboard as well as considering the teaching characteristics of dance sport in universities,the author conducts a study on teaching design of bilingual education in dance sport selective course for physical education majors through literature review,methods of interview,questionnaire and teaching experiment,statistical data and logic analysis to cope with the collected data.The study of teaching design of bilingual education in dance sport includes four sections that are teaching analysis,design of teaching objective,strategy and evaluation.In order to prove the actual teaching effect and practicality of the teaching design,the author proposed a plan and conducted a teaching experiment on bilingual teaching in dance sport selective course for physical education majors from Chengdu University.After the experiment,the dissertation analyzed the actual teaching effect of the bilingual teaching strategy through the comparison between the experimental group and the control group with regard to the variation of their dance sport techniques and command on English terms of dance sport and through the information acquired by the questionnaires.According to the study,conclusions are drawn below:(1)Under the precondition of achieving the technique teaching goal of the dance sport selective course,the bilingual strategy enhances students the English command of dance sport and cultivates their English study interest.(2)The actual teaching effect,positive attitudes and comments of students on the application of bilingual teaching in dance sport indicates the possibility of the strategy.(3)The design of plan and the experimental process have been verified and positively commented by the actual teaching effect,students and experts,which are,therefore,proved to be valid and significantly effective.(4)The successful conduct on the experiment design proves the operability,practically,of the thoughts on sport dance bilingual teaching design,and thus the experiment is worth borrowing and being modeled.Finally,in regarding of the existing problems in the study processes,valuable advices and suggestions have been put forward to provide insight in light of the future study of bilingual education in dance sport,and also promote the implementation and development of bilingual education in dance sport in universities.
