This thesis takes African students studying at universities in Guangzhou as research objects,picks Guangdong University of Foreign Studies,South China Normal University,Sun Yat-sen University,South China University of Technology,Jinan University and other ten universities as survey locations.Questionnaire,observation and interview were used to investigate the Chinese language use condition and Chinese language attitude of African students in Guangzhou.First of all,it focuses on the analysis of the Chinese language use condition in different social objects and social situations by African students : In the aspect of social objects,African students mainly as the standard of Chinese proficiency to decide whether to use Chinese;In the aspect of social situations,in the public places and schools African students are mainly use Chinese and English,in the family mainly use native language,in the social network platform is mainly use Chinese,English and native language;In the aspect of social objects and social situations,the use of Chinese is correlated with the level of Chinese,they are positively correlated.The higher the frequency and duration of Chinese usage,the level of Chinese is getting better and vice versa.Secondly,from the cognitive level,emotional level and behavioral level three dimensions analysis the Chinese language attitude of African students,and then analysis the significant factors that affect the Chinese language attitude : On the cognitive level,African students generally agree that Chinese language has strong functionality,which has a positive effect on its own development;On the emotional level,African students are equivocal in the familiarity of Chinese,but they like Chinese and have high expectations for learning Chinese;At the behavioral level,African students have a strong desire to learn Chinese well and regard Chinese learning as a long-term learning objective;The significant factors that affect the Chinese language attitude of African students are the time of Chinese study before China,the time to learn Chinese after coming to China,the level of Chinese.Finally,summarizes the relationship and significant factors between the Chinese language usage and Chinese language attitude : There is a positive correlation betweenChinese language attitude and Chinese language usage,but the two are not the only influencing factors.Summarize the influence factors that are the external factors of social environment and the internal factors of individual differences of African students.In view of the above research results,this research combines the existing problems in African students' language use and language attitude of Chinese puts forward suggestions from three perspectives : Schools,teachers and African students.In the aspect of school,it should create a good learning environment and language environment in Chinese,construct platform for multiple extracurricular activities,strengthen students' psychological counseling and develop adaptive education,combination of strict management and facilitation.In the aspect of teachers,in the classroom teaching and management,on the one hand,the teachers should strengthen classroom management and reading training.on the other hand,adjust teaching methods to carry out phased and targeted teaching.At the same time,the teachers should increase the time to communicate with students and improve their intercultural communication level,construction and utilization of network platform.In the aspect of African students,in Chinese learning,First African students should improve their learning methods,develop language partners.Second,be active in class and actively strengthen communication with teachers.Third,use Chinese social software and Chinese learning APP effectively.Finally,carry out targeted Chinese reading training.In the improve adaptability of cross-cultural,On the one hand,African students should understand the differences between China and Africa,strengthening the concept of time.On the other hand,African students should take a rational view of cultural conflicts and reduce the sense of inferiority.
