The Structure And Measurement Of Haoran's Qi

To explore contemporary moral personality,this study which was based on Chinese traditional culture used empirical studies to explore the psychological structure of noble spirit and compiled the questionnaire which in accordance with Chinese psychological characteristics.Then applied the questionnaire which was developed by author to college students and civil servants to research the overall characteristics and research the effect of demographic variables on the noble spirit.Also applied the questionnaires of sense of responsibility and psychological resilience to prove the relationship between noble spirit,sense of responsibility and psychological resilience.Through the theoretical and empirical research,we obtained some results as follows:(1)The noble spirit contained four components:sincere and benevolence,magnanimity and calm,courage and justice,strong-willed;The questionnaire which was developed by author had good reliability and validity,which can be the scale tool for moral personality of individuals;The scores of college students and civil servants in the questionnaire were higher,but there were still a few individuals who scored lower.(2)The noble spirit of college students and civil servants had no significant difference between gender and specialty;The scores in sincere and benevolence,magnanimity and calm had significant difference between age and years of working.(3)There were significant relationships between noble spirit and sense of responsibility,psychological resilience in college students and civil servants;There was a significant linear relationship between sense of responsibility and psychological resilience;Also college students had higher level of noble spirit,the level of sense of responsibility and psychological resilience would be higher;Civil servants had higher level of noble spirit,the level of psychological resilience would be higher;Although the sense of responsibility of high and low group was not significant,it still had the rising tendency with the noble spirit rising.We obtained some conclusions by discussed above-mentioned results:(1)The noble spirit contained four components:sincere and benevolence,magnanimity and calm,courage and justice,strong-willed;The questionnaire which was developed by author had good reliability and validity,which can be the scale tool for moral personality of individuals;The personality traits of the sage in traditional Chinese Confucian culture-the noble spirit can be measured by the questionnaire.(2)The noble spirit is gradually formed in the culture and social experience;The scores in sincere and benevolence,magnanimity and calm had significant difference between age and years of working.(3)The noble spirit can effectively predict sense of responsibility and adaptability when individuals face difficulties or adversity.
