The Palace diplomacy in the Ming dynasty was a diplomatic form with the palace as the foothold and the royal members as the main body.As the head of state,the emperor's palace diplomacy was not only limited to the palace,but also often extended to the whole country.The early stage of the Ming palace diplomacy is one of bright generation of foreign palace laying period,and some of its ideas and actions were of great importance to the whole court diplomacy in the Ming dynasty.The shortcomings have also promoted the adjustment and transformation of corresponding diplomatic strategies.After the founding of the Ming dynasty,there was a complex situation at home and abroad.It faced threats from forces including the northern yuan,the pirates and the domestic division.The Ming taizu formulated a series of diplomacy policies based on the situation,including peace policy based on "non-levy" for neighboring countries and defensive policy against the Mongol power.The formulation and implementation of diplomacy policy in the early Ming dynasty provided a direction for the development of palace diplomacy in the early Ming dynasty.On the basis of inheriting the tributary system of dynasties,palace diplomacy in the early Ming dynasty realized new development.It is rich in content,pilgrimage,tribute,canonization,demobilization,reward and other aspects of the content throughout.The complete palace diplomacy system ensures the orderly development of palace diplomacy."Simultaneous development of land and sea" is an important expression of palace diplomacy in the early Ming dynasty.Zheng He's Voyage and Fu an,Chen Cheng's visiting of Western Regions,They respectively highlight the prosperity of palace diplomacy in the early Ming dynasty from the sea and land.While highlighting the authority of great powers,they also kept close economic and cultural exchanges between the Ming dynasty and other countries.After the two dynasties of Hongwu and Yongle,the palace diplomacy in the early Ming Dynasty had the characteristics of taking political activities as the main line and serving the political activities as a political service.As time goes on,the disadvantages of the early stage of the Ming palace foreign more and more,this has prompted Xuande emperor after the palace of diplomacy towards more positive health evolution,shrinkage overseas policy,develop goodneighborly foreign pattern of diplomatic ties,for the description provides the diplomacy in the palace of the late development direction.
