The concurrent phenomenon is a special and complex grammatical phenomenon.As a part of concurrent words,the verb-adjective concurrent words has a grammatical function of two or more word classes.Therefore,it is difficult for those people who learn Chinese as a second language.Aiming at the complex problems of the concurrent phenomenon,this thesis based on the definition and classification,statistical analysis and error analysis of the verb-adjective concurrent words,proposing teaching suggestions to reduce the learner's problems,to increase their interest in learning Chinese,to improve the educators' teaching level,and to make a contribution to Chinese international education in a better way.This thesis is divided into six parts,the specific contents are as follows:The first part is the introduction.It mainly discusses the purpose and significance of the topic,research summary,research methods,research difficulties and innovation and corpus origin;The second part is “The Definition and Types of the Concurrent Words and Verb-adjective Concurrent Words”.This chapter is a preliminary study,mainly discusses the definition,types,and features of the concurrent words and verb-adjective concurrent words;The third part is “Statistics and POS tagging of the verb-adjective concurrent words”.This chapter mainly counts the verb-adjective concurrent words in the Vocabulary Outline and Chinese Course,and analyzes their part-of-speech tagging.Foreshadowing the following errors analysis and teaching suggestions;The fourth part is “Errors Analysis of the Verb-adjective Concurrent Words”.This chapter mainly analyzes the types and reasons of errors in the corpus.According to the errors in the corpus of the verb-adjective concurrent words,we classify these words into four types like omissions,addition error,misrepresentation,wrong order,and discusses the main causes of errors from the perspective of foreign students and teachers;The fifth part is “Teaching Suggestions of the Verb-adjective Concurrent Words”.From the aspects of textbook compilation and teachers' teaching,the chapter puts forward some suggestions.At the same time,the instructional design for verb-adjective concurrent words are written;The sixth part is the conclusion part.The definition and classification,statistical analysis,error analysis,and teaching suggestions of the verb-adjective concurrent words are discussed in general.
