The Norwegian anti-fascist resistance movement is a part of the European resistance movement.The European resistance movement is not only an anti-fascist movement,but also the national liberation movement.The Norwegian made outstanding contributions in the Second World War.Norway lost the Norwegian Campaign beacuse of government of negligence.The resistance movement has been going through five years' hard struggle since the invasion of Germany in April 1940,Norway was liberated in June 1945.The first chapter analyzes the international situation around Norway on the eve of the Second World War and the causes of Norway's failure.In the beginning of the resistance movement,The Norwegian people opposed to the Nazi policies.The Norwegians began to set up military resistance groups,the British sent agents in Norway.So international cooperation of the Norwegian resistance movement was began.The second chapter focuses on the development of Norwegian resistance movement in the mid-term.Resistance organization has gained more experience from non-violent resistance to violence resistance.Teachers and clergies formed a united front for preventing Norway's national culture from Nazi ideology.The battle of heavy water is of great significance to the war.The action played a significant role that sabotaged Germany heavy water production which develop nuclear weapons.The success of the Norway resistance movement and the S.O.E.were all taken seriously by the Allied forces,which led to the fast development of Norway resistance organization.The third chapter describes the rise of the resistance movement during the period of liberation,and analyzes the reasons why Norway wasn't become origin of second front but the best camouflage location.Nortraship and the Shetland Bus supported the war.The Norwegian tied down four hundred thousand German troops then effectively supported the Allied operations in Continental Europe.The mutual trust and cooperation between the exiled government and the Front ensured Norway's peace.The fourth chapter discusses the characteristics and influence of the Norwegian anti-fascist resistance movement.The resistance movement of this country showed the own characteristics different from the anti fascist resistance movement in other countries.After the second world war,the new government abandoned the neutrality policy and sought collective security,finally it chose to join Capitalist camp.
