As China's economy develops rapidly and international exchanges become closer,the demand for Chinese language acquisition has quickly increased in various countries around the world.At the same time in order to promot the influence of Chinese language and culture,China has also vigorously advocated and established Confucius Institutes in many countries and regions around the world.As a result,the number of Chinese language students continuously increases.The Confucius Institute at Hassan ? University in Casablanca was established in 2013 and is the second Confucius Institute in Morocco.As relations between Morocco and China become closer,the Confucius Institute in Casablanca becomes more prominent and the goal for learning Chinese becomes clearer.The development of the tourist industry in recent years has incentivized more students to study 'tourism Chinese'.This paper examines the impact of the tourism frenzy on the Chinese language courses offered by the Confucius Institute in Casablanca.It also explains the importance of Chinese language courses in influencing how students of Casablanca's Confucius Institute assess their skill sets and their future career plans.Through surveys and interviews with students of Casablanca's Confucius Institute this paper offers several suggestions in regards to the Institute's organizational setup.Besides the introduction,this paper includes four sections.The first chapter introduces the establishment of the Confucius Institute in Casablanca,Morocco,the curriculum,the circumstances of teachers and students,and the conditions of student activities and scholarships.The second chapter introduces current development of Morroco's tourism industry.an overview of Casablanca's tourism industry,and the influence of the tourism frenzy on local Chinese studies;The third chapter conducts a detailed analysis of the students from Casablanca's Confucius Institute and analyzes their demands for tourism Chinese,their employment goals and their level of satisfaction towards of the existing curriculum and courses the Institute.The fourth chapter analyzes the problems identified in the investigation and puts forth corresponding suggestions for improvement.
