Chinese scholars have little research on the translation of foreign legal writing textbooks.They often focus on studying foreign laws,while ignoring the ability to develop people's legal writing.In this context,it is of great importance to translate foreign legal writing textbooks.The translated text is the first chapter of the American Legal Writing Textbook Point Made.After analyzing the textual characteristics and translation difficulties,the author summarizes some translation strategies.From the perspective of passive sentences and loose sentences,the part of the case study proposes three translation strategies for passive sentences,namely,omission,retention and conversion;As for loose sentences,three translation strategies are also given,namely,focus translation,focus inverse translation and non-focus division translation.This report aims to provide some references for the translation of English loose sentences and passive voice.
