The passive sentence has a long history and takes an very important position inboth Chinese and English. In the field of teaching Chinese as a second language,Chinese passive sentence has always been a difficult point for English native speakersto learn. Although Chinese and English passive sentence have similarities, differencesare much greater, that is why the learners have such a large number and various errors.Lot of people absorb in the contrast of passive sentence and get many achievements,which is the foundation of analysis for this text. Ontology research and convertedcontrast are the two main body for the analysis, involved in syntax, usage, semantemeand culture, that is conduce to the understanding and grasp of passive sentence to thelearners.To be detailed, the first chapter introduces the research topic, significance,corpus and methods. Chapter two analyses the categories and components of Chinesepassive sentences. Chapter three analyzes English passive sentences in definition,categories and components. Chapter four give a research on symmetrical conversionand unsymmetrical conversion of English-Chinese passive sentences, culturedifferences also in research. Last part for the text is the brief summary of researchachievements.
