The source text of this translation practice report is the chapter four of Dispute Resolution in Transnational Securities Transactions.The source text is a work of international economic law,and formality is its linguistic characteristic.A large number of nominalization and attributive participle structures are used to illustrate the relevant content of securities transaction disputes.In addition,many compound sentences are used to reflect the preciseness of the legal language in the works of international economic law.The translation strategies of nominalization in this chapter are discussed firstly in the case study.Besides,three translation strategies,including linking translation,explanatory translation and conjunctions-adding methods,are suggested in the case study of parallel sentences.Finally,the pre-combination translation,minor sentence splitting translation and information recasting translation are analyzed in the case study of attributive participial structures.This report summarizes some translation strategies,which provides some reference for the translation of similar texts.
