Research On Landscape Painting Of Hushe Painting Society In The Republic Of China

During the early period of the Republic of China,the Chinese paintings have ushered in the trend of innovation,with the ideas of Eastern and Western paintings mutually reinforcing,and the "new" and "old" ideas fighting each other.In the face of the impact of Western culture,how to inherit and develop the traditional paintings? The Hushe Painting Association advocated that while comprehensively inheriting the splendid tradition of Chinese paintings,painters should focus on innovation based on the tradition and try to break through the confine.Meanwhile,the expressive power of traditional Chinese paintings should be carried forward in response to the impact of the Western ideas of paintings and the demands of the times.With the blueprint of painting techniques and ideas from the Jin and Tang Dynasties to the Ming and Qing Dynasties,especially the Song and Yuan Dynasties,and based on the aesthetic tastes of traditional Chinese paintings,Painters of the Hushe Painting Association have inherited the tradition but not stuck to that,and carried forward the traditional methods and attitudes concerning nature to achieve stylized and realistic creation demands.This paper explores the background of the period of the "Art Revolution" in the Republic of China,development and influence of the Hushe Painting Association during the early period of the Republic of China.With literature research and other methods,it analyzes and studies the overall situation of the landscape paintings of the Hushe Painting Association.It clarifies that the common essential feature of this association is its inheritance and development of traditional painting techniques.According to the experience and personality of the landscape painters in the association,the landscape paintings are taken as examples to analyze the artistic style and characteristics of the landscape paintings.From the two aspects including artistic proposition and analysis of works,this paper also analyzes the landscape paintings of representatives of the Hushe Painting Association,and its artistic influence on China's modern landscape paintings.About a hundred years later,the author tries to re-examine the historical significance of the Hushe Painting Association,exploring the difficulties of traditional Chinese paintings in the process of its birth and development.Critical inheritance is the prerequisite for better innovation.The essence of excellent traditional Chinese paintings should be earnestly absorbed,and serious consideration is necessary for its robust development.The most important contribution of the Hushe Painting Association is its maintenance and inheritance of the traditional character and spirit of Chinese paintings,even the Chinese traditional culture with the positive attitude.It is of practical significance to review and conclude the development of the Hushe Painting Association.With the rapid development today,we should earnestly consider that how to help the excellent traditional culture face the changes of the times.
