Study On The Construction "light X Yet (not) Y, Z"

This paper studies the syntax,semantics and pragmatics of Modern Chinese "guang(?)X hai(?)bu(?)Y,Z".The article consists of five parts.The first part is introduction.This paper first introduces the significance of the topic,the current situation of relevant research,and then explains the theoretical basis,research methods and data sources.The second part deals with the component and construction meaning of "guang(?)X hai(?)bu(?)Y,Z" First,it is identified that "guang(?)X hai(?)bu(?)Y,Z" is a structure,and it is pointed out that "guang(?)X hai(?)bu(?)Y,Z" has the motivation of the construction and accords with the typical characteristics of the construction.Then it studies its internal structure,analyzes the properties,functions and types of variables X?Y and Z in the construction of the constant term "guang(?)" and "hai(?)",and the choice of conditions and reasons.Finally,the author abstracts the sentence meaning: the speaker's euphemism negates a certain phenomenon or behavior one-sidedness,and then emphasizes his own supplementary opinion.The third part analyzes the semantic relation of "guang(?)X hai(?)bu(?)Y,Z" from the point of view of complex sentence.At first,it analyzes three kinds of relational complex sentences,namely causality complex sentence,juxtaposition complex sentence and turning class complex sentence.and then analyzes the reasons for the formation of various relational complex sentences in "guang(?)X hai(?)bu(?)Y,Z",that is,the diversity of objective relations,the different attitudes expressed by the content of variable Y,and the differences in people's cognition.The fourth part analyzes the construction of "guang(?)X hai(?)bu(?)Y,Z" from the perspective of pragmatics and discourse.Firstly,the presupposition and focus of the construction are analyzed from the angle of information theory,thenthe expressive function of the construction is analyzed from the pragmatic point of view.Finally,the cohesive mode and communicative intention of the construction are analyzed from the perspective of text.The fifth part is conclusion.Summarize the content of the text,point out the innovation,shortcomings and the direction of future efforts.
