The Study On The Construction Of "no X No Y" In The Network Title

The construction of �no X no Y� appears in the internet and it is widely used as the title of the article,it inherits and innovates the format of �no A no B�.We collected 2803 examples of sentences on major network articles and online newspapers and periodicals,and then we analyzed and summarized them.This paper can be divided into four parts.Firstly,we introduced the object and status and significance and methods and corpus sources of research.Secondly,we contrasted and analyzed the composition of �no X no Y�.�X� and �Y� are mostly double syllable nouns,verbs and adjectives,and occasionally have adverbs,monosyllabic words and phrases.Their frequency of use is nouns above verbs,verbs above adjectives,which has obvious tendency of the body parts of speech.But the traditional �no A no B� format,�A� and �B� are mostly monosyllabic nouns,verbs and adjectives.The frequency of �A� is nouns above adjectives,adjectives above verbs.It has the tendency of the body parts of speech.The frequency of �B� is verbs above adjectives,adjectives above nouns.It has the tendency of the part of speech.Thirdly,we contrasted and analyzed the features of �no X no Y� from three aspects of syntax,semantics and pragmatics.Syntactically,�no X no Y� can act as clauses,independent sentences and syntactic components.It acts mostly as clauses,followed by independent sentences,and less as syntactic components.But the traditional �no A no B� format is mostly used as predicates,and seldom can be used as an independent sentence.Semantically,�no X no Y� can express conditional meaning and neighboring meaning,also derive a homomorphic format to express the parallel meaning.Among them,the conditional meaning is the most,the parallel meaning is few.But the traditional �no A no B� format express mostly the neighboring meaning,the conditional meaning and the other semantics are few.Pragmatically,�no X no Y� can be used in the fields of sports,culture and entertainment,economy and life,science and technology.Among them,economy and life filed used the most of all these fileds,followed by sports,culture and entertainment,less in science and technology.The frequency of use is determined by the number of audiences.The traditional �no A no B� format has a strong color of classical Chinese,therefore,it is basically used in the cultural filed,and appear rarely in other fields.�No X no Y� is used in the title context of the written language,the use of restrictions.It has the characteristics of high frequency,high productivity,economy,subjectivity,novelty and singularity.Fourthly,we analyzed the causes of �no X no Y� from the internal and external aspects of language.In the external language,the use of the public,the promotion of network development and the recognition of online media are the external driving forces.In the internal language,language contact is the direct cause,the stable inheritance of language is the indirect cause.While the function of imitation and analogy mechanism,symmetry mechanism are the essential reasons for its formation and development.
