| News English occupies an important position in international news communication.Recently,news communication with news websites as the media channel plays a vital role in the development of mass media communication in the new era.Therefore,through the compilation of news,English-Chinese translations and news reports are compiled,and the differences between different languages and cultures are used to attract readers,thus the purpose of conveying news can be realized.This thesis,taking an example of the translation of business news English text and based on the principle of skopos theory by Hans Vermeer,aims to explore the translation strategies of business news.Firstly,the author discusses how to translate words and phrases,that is,translators should consider specific contexts.Secondly,this report concludes some translation methods and skills applicable to different kind of context.Some translation skills and methods,including division of long sentences,conversion of part of speech,order reversion and reorganization are suitable for translating compound sentences.Finally,the author summarizes the translation program and ho pes that business translation skills and methods of English news concluded in this report can provide some references for the E-C translation of following business news to improve translators’ translation efficiency and quality. |
