A Study Of The Uyghur Translation Of The Character's Appearance In "A Dream Of Red Mansions"

In the long history of Chinese culture,《The Story of the Stone》is a dazzling pearl.It not only carries the Chinese culture,but also shows the magnificence of China,which everyone admires.Since the advent of《The Story of the Stone》,the research on it has never been broken.Scholars have analyzed and interpreted《The Story of the Stone》from different angles.The research on the translation of《The Story of the Stone》is also constantly improving.This kind of progress is not only manifested in the increase of quantity,but also the research angle and content are more and more extensive and meticulous.From the Uighur translation of《The Story of the Stone》the research results are also very rich.Most of the researches on the Uighur translation of《The Story of the Stone》are based on the structure,semantics and other grammatical aspects of words,to compare the differences between Chinese and Uyghur.There are relatively few studies on the influence of cultural factors on translation.Therefore,in this paper mainly discusses and studies the translation of the characters appearances in《The Story of the Stone》and strives to summarize the translation methods and techniques used in the translation of the appearances in《The Story of the Stone》in Uighur language.In this paper,from the original works of《The Story of the Stone》and the Uighur edition of《The Story of the Stone》,nearly 150 examples ofthe description ofthe characters appearances were selected.Based on the "dynamic equivalence" theory of the famous translator Nida,the Uyghur translation of the characters in the《The Story of the Stone》is compared.The first chapter of this paper is the introduction.It mainly introduces the topic and significance and summarizes the research dynamics of《The Story of the Stone》.It explains the source of the corpus and the writing symbols used in this paper.The second chapter is an overview of the description of the appearance of the characters.It mainly describes the definition and function of the description of the appearance of the characters and summarizes the characteristics of the description of the appearance of《The Story of the Stone》from five aspects。The third chapter is the similarities and differences between the appearances of Chinese and Uyghur characters in《The Story of the Stone》,which mainly describes the similarities and differences between the appearances of characters in Chinese and Uyghur.For example,the appearance of the characters in《The Story of the Stone》is described in the similarities between Chinese and Uyghur and the characters are confirmed from four aspects:the different words used,the different order,the different expression habits and the different cultural intentions of Chinese and Uyghur.The fourth chapter is the characteristics of the translation of the《The Story of the Stone》,which is mainly to appreciate the Uyghur translation of《The Story of the Stone》and point out its success.The example points out the treatment strategies of the characters in the translation of《The Story of the Stone》and faithfully expresses the exact meaning of the original text,,maintains the style and charm of the original text,subtly borrows the metaphor in Uyghur and completely reproduces the emotional color of the original text.The five aspects of the role of cultural communication function are fully explored,,and the effect ofthe character description in《The Story of the Stone》into Uighur language is achieved.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.On the basis of the contents of the first four chapters,the characteristics of the characters in《The Story of the Stone》are translated into the Uyghur language.The unique translation methods and techniques,processing strategies and the characteristics of the description and translation are summarized.I hope this article provides more specific reference for researchers who compare Chinese and Uyghur,and supplements the improvement of translation quality between Chinese and Uighur.
