The Practice Report Of Chinese-English Communication In The 2018 Tourism Management Training Course In Latin America, The Caribbean And South Pacific Countries

This practical report is based on the author's interpretation practice.In May 2018,the author of this report got the opportunity to participate in the 2018 Seminar on Tourism Management for Latin America,Caribbean and South-Pacific Countries and served as an interpreter.Since most of these participants are not native English speakers,they can only speak broken English or English with accent.In addition,since these lectures are rather professional,many difficulties have been encountered in the process,such as the interpretation of uncommon words in tourism environment,especially in folk tourism and ice and snow tourism,the interpretation of long and difficult sentences,and different way of emotion express caused by cultural differences.Considering the national characteristics of folk tourism words,the author mainly adopted methods of transliteration and amplification;while ice and snow tourism words are more refined,the author mainly adopted methods of literal translation and free translation.For long and difficult sentences and logical problems,the author mainly used methods of omission and logic reorganization.At the same time,the author will also make some analysis of the preparatory and feedback work of this interpretation,summarize the shortcomings so as to improve the author's professional ability and become a qualified interpreter.
