Colleges and universities are important bases for cultivating and transporting talents for the country.Since the founding of the Communist Party of China,its development and growth are closely related to universities.On the eve of liberation,higher education in Shanghai occupied a pivotal position in China at that time.After the liberation of Shanghai,in order to strengthen the leadership of the Communist Party of China in Colleges and universities,and to restore and develop higher education in Shanghai,in January 1952,the Communist Party Committee of Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China was established with the approval of the East China Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.In June 1955,it was merged with the School Work Department of the Shanghai Municipal Committee,and its work ended.Internal organizations have offices,propaganda groups,organizational groups,secretarial groups and so on.The Shanghai Municipal College Committee works under the leadership of the Propaganda Department of the East China Bureau and under the direction of the Shanghai Municipal Committee.This paper only studies the Committee from its establishment until June 1955,before it merged with the school work department of the Municipal Committee.The author collected relevant information and information.Based on the archives and other historical materials in Shanghai Archives,the author hopes to make a detailed review of the history of the Shanghai Higher Education Commission in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China,so as to summarize the achievements and shortcomings of the work of the Shanghai Higher Education Commission of the Communist Party of China in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China and its impact.
