The Family Education Of The Clans In The Eastern Jin And Southern Dynasties And Its Enlightenment To The Family Education Today

The Northern and Southern dynasties of Wei and Jin dynasties,as the important transitional stage between the Qin and Han dynasties and the Sui and Tang dynasties,were turbulent politically and prosperous on culture.However,the cultural prosperity could not be achieved without the support of education.Due to the large number of dynasties involved in the Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern dynasties,the wide geographical area as well as the relatively large number of related studies and the limitation in length,this paper intercepts the period of the Eastern Jin and Southern dynasties,which successively came to power and made Jiankang their capital.According to Mr.Chen yinque,the academic center of the Eastern Jin and Southern dynasties was transferred to the education on gentry family,which strongly proved the prosperity of the gentry family education in the Eastern Jin and Southern dynasties.The main reason for sorting out the information about the gentry family education in this stage is to promote the development of current family education.This paper consisted of five parts.The introduction is composed of three parts:significance of the research,literature revie w and the research methods.The Chapter One gives a brief introduction to the family education of the gentry in the Eastern Jin and Southern dynasties,especially,analyzes the reasons for its prosperity.Due to wars and other reasons,it is difficult for school education to undertake the heavy responsibility of cultural cultivation,so that the academic center has been transferred to the gentry families.Furthermore,under the standard of the nine-rank system of selecting officials,the gentry families attach importance to the cultivation of talents.With the rising power of the common people,the border between the common people and gentry families is confused.In order to maintain their privileged status,the gentry attach great importance to family education,and the trend of cultural diversity enriches the content and form of family education.The Chapter Two analyzes the content and form of the family education of the gentry in the Eastern Jin and Southern dynasties and evaluates it as a whole.In the Eastern Jin and Southern dynasties,the family education of the gentry was rich in content.In addition to the traditional Confucianism,it also involved metaphysics,Buddhism,Taoism,literature,history,art and etc.teaching forms.Moreover,the teaching mode is numerous.Except teaching by precept and example,it also makes good use of domestic instruction.In history,it plays the role in connecting the past and the future,which is conducive to the liberation of women in talent training and the emergence of the contention of different schools of thought.The Chapter Three introduces the general situation of contemporary family education and analyzes the significance of family education of the gentry in the Eastern Jin and Southern dynasties.In'view of the general situation of contemporary family education,this paper mainly discusses the main problems it faces and analyzes the main reasons for the problems.Its enlightenment to today's family education is mainly explained from the four aspects:educational consciousness,educational content,educational mode and educational methods,which is helpful to draw lessons from the gentry family education.The conclusion part summarizes the paper and prospects the development of falmily education.Reading history makes people wise.The important purpose for learning history lies in drawing lessons and xwisdom from it.The family education of the gentry in the Eastern Jin and Southern dynasties can provide many valuable experiences for the family education nowadays.
