Prosocial behavior refers to the friendly and positive behavior showed in the process of dealing with others. It is characterized by benefiting others and even the whole group, and can promote the harmonious relationship between the two parties. At the same time, prosocial behavior is influenced by moral identity and parenting style. In the process of interaction with parents, children internalize their moral values and form their own ethical norms, which affects their prosocial behavior.Although moral identity is an important internal factor affecting prosocial behavior, which can directly affect prosocial behavior, there have been a few studies on the possible effect mechanism of these two variables on prosocial behavior. Therefore, this study attempts to solve this problem. The subjects were mainly middle school students from Nanjing and Xianyang. They completed the scale measurement through mobile terminals, and finally obtained 957 valid questionnaires. After data analysis and processing, the results show the following:(1)The overall development of middle school students' moral identity and prosocial behavior tends to be good. There is a significant difference in the moral identity between the urban and rural youth groups. The same results between the one-child family and the non-only-child family.(2)Parenting styles are significantly related to moral identity.Moral identity is positively correlated with the prosocial behaviors.Emotional warmth and moral ident-ity helped significantly and positively predict prosocial behaviors.Reject and moral identity helped significantly and negatively predict prosocial behaviors and moral ide-ntity mediated between parenting styles and prosocial behaviors.
