Objective:(1)To explore the relationship between peer acceptance,peer rejection and self-perception and depression;(2)To study the effect of social skills intervention on peer relationship improvement.Methods: One of the empirical studies was conducted with 145 students(72 male students and 73 female students)in the second grade of a middle school in Xianyang.The peer nomination method was used to determine the eligible research subjects.On this basis,the questionnaire was used.The investigation method explored and analyzed the relationship between peer acceptance,peer rejection,self-perception and depression.The second study was the intervention study.On the basis of the study one,the subjects were screened(25 in the experimental group and 25 in the control group).The group students were given eight consecutive interventions by group counseling,once a week for a total of 8 times..The control group did not do any intervention.The research results are as follows:(1)Peer acceptance was significantly positively correlated with self-perception;peer rejection was negatively correlated with self-perception,and peer rejection was significantly positively correlated with depression.(2)Compared with the control group,the level of peer relationship in the experimental group was significantly improved(t1=9.776,p<0.001),and the effect of the intervention was supplemented by qualitative evaluation.The paper also discusses the educational implications of this study...
