As one of the most popular literary genres,detective fiction has attracts millions of readers with its rigorous reasoning and twisting plots,which has been being popular with readers since it came out.Therefore,detective fiction has become an indispensable part of Russia's book market,and research of translation detective fiction has certain literary value and social significance.This article is a Russian-Chinese translation practice report.The source text is selected from the Value of the Problem,a short story written by a Russian detective novelist called Alexandra Mary Nina.Alexandra Mari Nina's literature writings own a place in the field of best-selling detective novels in contemporary Russia.His works are vivid and close to life.The novel that was published in Russia in 2017 has no Chinese version yet.In the process of translating,the translator utilizes different translation techniques and methods,which are stated mainly from the lexical level and sentence level.The author analyzes and explains difficulties by giving examples.At lexical level,the translator uses transliteration and free translation.At syntactic level,the translator uses adding,omitting and sequence changing.The translator hopes to improve translation ability and accumulate experience through this task.
