Research On New Words In The "Road To Success" (Intermediate) Chinese Comprehensive Textbook

Road to Success is a set of Chinese language teaching materials published by Beijing Language and Culture University Press in 2008.The intermediate level is intended for Chinese learners who have mastered basic grammar and about 2,000 new words.It is a comprehensive teaching material on Chinese as a foreign language with wide scope of use and great influence.This article mainly investigates the writing of new words in the Comprehensive Chinese Textbook of Road to Success(Intermediate).It makes a systematic study on the number,grade,reproduction and interpretation of the new words in the textbook by means of statistical analysis and summary.Through investigation,it was found that there are 1743 new words in the Road to Success(intermediate)Chinese comprehensive textbook.And unrecorded new words in the outline account for 31 of the total number of new words.The difficulty of new words is high.In the interpretation of new words in textbooks,problems such as single interpretation mode,wrong interpretation of individual words and incorrect interpretation appear.In view of the deficiencies in the various parts of the new words in the textbook,this article puts forward corresponding amendment suggestions.
