The paintings on the theme of saddle horses have experienced a long history from the Paleolithic period to the present.From the rock paintings of primitive society to the patterns of bronzes in the Shang and Zhou dynasties,there have been performances of saddle horses in the past.Painting on the subject of pommel horses became an independent art department in the Tang Dynasty.The saddle-horse paintings mentioned in our article are not just pointing at horses wearing saddles,but also portraits and historical paintings associated with horses.To this day,the earliest silken saddle horse paintings we can see are also from the Tang Dynasty.According to records,among the many painters in the Tang Dynasty,more than 400 people with names can be verified.The paintings of the Tang Dynasty grew stronger.The integration of the community with the glorious development of society,economy,and culture in the Tang Dynasty made the Tang Dynasty the pinnacle of development in the history of painting in China.This article takes the Tang Dynasty tomb mural system as the background,and uses the "saddle horse" theme painting as an entry point to demonstrate.This thesis mainly collects and summarizes the saddle horse images that have been excavated in the tombs of the Tang Dynasty,and is divided into four chapters.The first chapter discusses the appearance of the saddle horse images before the Tang Dynasty,including the pre-Qin period,the Qin Han period,The three periods of Wei,Jin,and Northern and Southern Dynasties.And clarify the source background of various saddle horse images in combination with the corresponding political religion,history,culture and economic background.The second chapter is based on the saddle horse image in the tomb murals of the Tang Dynasty,and analyzes it from the line drawing technique,artistic modeling,conceptual composition,theme application,etc.,and analyzes the special art of the saddle horse form theme painting at that time.Features.The third chapter of the article mainly compares the image of the saddle horse in the murals of the Tang Dynasty tombs with contemporary silk paintings.By discussing the differences and similarities in the painting expressions and painting languages,it proves that the paintings in the murals of the Tang tombs can be more vividly represented.In the style of Datang.Finally,the article analyzes the form of painting of saddle horses after the Tang Dynasty and its profound influence on the painters of later generations.
