For thousands of years,as a type of effective talent-training mode,apprenticeship has played great roles in the educational history,art history and industrial history of our country.After the popularization of school education,apprenticeship has entered the gradual decline due to various reasons.And its functions and positions have been replaced by the mainstream mode and other modes,such as class–related teaching system,hard to mount regular-education elegant places in long term period.However,along with the changing demands for talents in the society and a series of problems in the new form of education affairs of our country,apprenticeship has also returned to people's horizons in the waving voices of educational reform.Starting from educational psychology,with application of a series of theories like cognitive learning,stimulus-response learning and constructive learning,this paper further explained how apprenticeship can adapt to the basic learning & teaching-related psychological rules.And by analyzing the subject characteristics of design disciplines,it further expounded the inherent agreements among apprenticeship mode and design-class professional educations and sought for the final goal such apprenticeship mode can meet the design-talent-cultivating characteristics and requirements.And based on that,it further studied a series of successful educational cases in ULM Academy of Design and BAUHAUS Academy of Design under such apprenticeship mode.And with combination of the current design-education situations in colleges and universities of China,this paper proposed a series of strategies to develop brand-new apprenticeship modes and establish school-enterprise united-education practical teams.As one useful and necessary supplement to the modern education,apprenticeship would be brought into the formal education system to construct one whole-new localized design education system.It can be said one brilliant and ambitious career,which is of great significance for promoting the design-discipline construction and development of our country.
