A Probe Into The Sources Of Translated Words From Europe And The United States In Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

"Hai Guozhi" is Wei Yuan's re-series of "Four Continents" based on Lin Zexu's "Four Continents",which integrated more than a dozen books and publications at that time and compiled the first systematic introduction of the history,geography,customs and military aspects of the world.As a collector of world geography at the end of the Qing Dynasty,representing the highest achievement of introducing the West at that time,many of the translated words recorded were first recorded in Chinese vocabulary,compared with modern chinese translations,the national name translation in "The Map of the Sea" has been very different in both translation and writing form.At present,the academic study of the chinese name translation is still relatively small,basically concentrated on its word inspection,the principle of word selection and Chinese transliteration,especially the evolution of this geographical term of Chinese translation has not yet been involved,so we need to further study it.And the English-derived modern Chinese foreign words represented by the national name translation is a kind of special translation that is often involved in the teaching process of Chinese as a foreign language,but the teaching effect of such translation in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language has always been not ideal,the fundamental reason is that the teacher lacks understanding of its translation characteristics and the evolution of Chinese translation.So that different levels of students can not meet the knowledge of the same translation.Therefore,this paper takes the translation of the famous Chinese and American translations of "The Chart of the Sea State" as the research object,compares and analyzes the different writing forms of the Chinese name translation in the "Sea National Map" and "The Dictionary of Modern Chinese on both sides of the Taiwan Straits",and uses the methods of combination of description and analysis,comparative research method,summary induction method,etc.This paper analyzes the translation characteristics and the reasons for the evolution of Chinese translation from the perspective of the internal development of Chinese language and cross-cultural,in order to find out the translation law of English-sourced modern foreign words,and to provide a new teaching idea for the teaching of English-based modern Chinese foreign words,represented by the translation of Chinese famous words.The article is divided into six parts,the introduction,the classification of the chinese translation of the "Haiguo Map" list,the translation characteristics of thenational name translation of the "Hai Guozhi" analysis,the evolution of The Chinese translation of European and American translation,the analysis of the reasons for the evolution of Chinese translation of chinese names of the national name,and the enlightenment of the chinese translation characteristics of The European-American Chinese to the teaching of chinese names abroad.The first part is the introduction.This part mainly expounds the research object,the research status,the research method and the research value.The second part is the first chapter of this paper,the classification of the translation of the national name of the "Sea Country Map".The foreign words in the "Sea National Map" are defined,the European-American translation words of the whole book are exhausted in carpet,the different status of the chinese name translation in the "Sea National Map" and the "Modern Chinese Dictionary" on both sides of the Taiwan Straits are compared with the analysis,and the national name translation in the "Sea National Map" is classified from the translation method and the number of syllables.The third part is from the multiple correspondence between Chinese characters and letters,the gas conversion of the same pronunciation site,the phenomenon of mutual translation of different pronunciation parts and the phenomenon of re-transliteration,these four aspects to the translation characteristics of the chinese name translation characteristics.The fourth part is based on the Chinese translation characteristics of the Chinese translation of The Central European American translation above,from the transformation of translation mode,the change of the number of syllables and the selection of Chinese characters to further analyze the evolution of The European-American Chinese translation process.The fifth part is the analysis of the reasons for the evolution of Chinese translation of Chinese and Chinese names,which have both internal reasons for Chinese language system,such as the development of Chinese language system,and complex social factors,such as cognitive and emotional factors in cross-cultural communication.The sixth part is the enlightenment of the characteristics of European and American famous Chinese translation to the teaching of country names in Chinese as a foreign language.Understanding the characteristics of country name translation is not only helpful to enrich teachers' own knowledge of Chinese ontology,reduce thedifficulty of teaching English source loanwords,but also promote students' interest in Chinese learning,so that they can truly appreciate the charm of Chinese culture from the perspective of language and culture.
