"English curriculum standards of compulsory education(2011)" emphasized that the English Curriculum in the compulsory education stage should pay attention to the learning process,the practicality and application of language learning.The overall goal is to improve the learners' comprehensive language ability.How to make students express freely and fluently in English is an urgent problem in primary school English teaching.This paper focuses on the application of Task-based Teaching Model in primary school English dialogue teaching.Through the literature review,it introduces the research background,theoretical basis,basic definition and task model design of the application of Task-based Teaching Model.Combined with the task-based teaching mode and the current situation of English dialogue teaching in primary schools in China,this paper analyzes the feasibility and necessity of applying the task-based teaching mode to English Teaching in primary schools.The feasibility is mainly from the current primary school English curriculum objectives and the special physical and mental development characteristics of primary school students.The necessity of task-based teaching mode is mainly analyzed from how to make up for the shortcomings of current primary English dialogue teaching and other advantages of task-based teaching mode.The author arranges and analyzes the relevant information of task-based teaching mode,and decides to apply Willis' s taskbased teaching mode to this dialogue teaching.The author introduces in detail the specific steps of Willis task-based teaching mode,the classification of tasks and the basic principles of designing task activities.In the third grade of Liangjiang residential primary school in Beibei District,we carried out teaching and action research,collected and analyzed data through interview,investigation and observation.The results show that it is feasible to use the task-based language teaching method to dialogue teaching,and it is helpful to improve students' comprehensive language application ability,such as language skills,learning strategies,and collaborative spirit.At the same time,this study also provides some suggestions on how to apply the task-based teaching model to dialogue teaching to improve English teaching in primary school.
