| Task-based Language Teaching(TBLT)is a teaching method in which teachers instruct learners to acquire language in form of completing tasks in class.Since the beginning of the 21stcentury,TBLT has been introduced into the field of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and widely studied in both theory and practice.TBLT is student-centered and attaches great importance to the development of language communicative competence.It enables students to combine language knowledge and skills in the process of completing tasks as well as cultivate their comprehensive language competence.Following previous relevant studies on TBLT,this thesis will define TASK first,point out the feature of TASK and make a theoretical review on TBLT.Based on a detailed analysis of the teaching overview from the aspects of students,textbooks,course types and instructional design,it is found that the students do not have strong learning motivation and enthusiasm,and have the tendency of field-independent cognitive style.According to the different function of modules in HSK Standard Course3,each lesson will be divided into four learning stages:reviewing,newly-studying,practicing and application.The representative contents of each stage will be selected for task design and implementation.The process of task completion will be recorded and transcribed.Finally,the teaching evaluation will be carried out from the whole course and the implementation process,from which relevant teaching suggestions will be put forward.Through practice,the author finds that the application of TBLT has achieved good teaching effect in intermediate Comprehensive Chinese Lesson in Hubei University.Students’interest of Chinese learning has been significantly improved,their language expression has become more fluent and accurate,their academic performance has also made great progress,which have verified the effectiveness and practicability of TBLT.This thesis also introspects and summarizes the application of TBLT,hoping to provide some inspirations and references for those who will study TBLT subsequently,making Chinese learners gradually love learning Chinese. |
