Nowadays,motivation is a very important psychological component of learning a language.In this paper,we investigate the motivation of students at the Chinese Cultural Center of Chile in Latin America.At present,there is not much research on the motivation of Chinese language learners in Chile,and there are also few studies on the motivation of Spanish-speaking students in Chile,so the students of the Chinese cultural center in Chile are chosen as the target of this study in order to help the Chinese language teaching to the Chilean students.According to my research,66 students of the "Chinese Culture Center" in Chile were surveyed and interviewed.In terms of motivation,the intensity of motivation was almost the same for men and women,The men have an stronger instrumental motivation than women,but women have a significantly stronger motivation to integrate than men.Therefore,I believe that the motivation of Chilean students to learn Chinese is relatively ideal,and Chinese language teachers should understand the motivation of students to learn Chinese,adjust their teaching methods,and improve the quality of teaching.Study the motivation of these Chinese language learners,find out the main reasons that affect the motivation of Chilean students,and study which aspect of the students' motivation is the strongest.Chinese language teachers should understand students' motivation to learn Chinese and adjust their teaching methods so that they can improve the quality of teaching.Students' motivation to learn Chinese is related to their gender,age,work situation,parental influence,and teachers' teaching methods.This paper consists of five parts,and the introduction part mainly introduces the significance of the selected topic,the purpose of the study,the current research status,and the research method.The first chapter mainly describes the definition of learning motivation and related theories.Chapter 2 mainly conducts a questionnaire survey on Chinese language learners in Chile on learning motivation and gives a detailed introduction to the survey process.The third chapter mainly analyzes the survey results in detail,introducing the general situation of motivation and the correlation between learners' personal factors and motivation in Chile,as well as analyzing a series of changes that occur during the learning process.Chapter 4 presents insights and recommendations forChinese language teachers and instructional management.Chapter 5 is the conclusion of this paper.
