The research object in the paper is Chinese characters learning motivation of African students in primary level. By using a series of methods, such as the experimental method, interview method, questionnaire method, sample analysis and so on, try to explore the inherent law and characteristic of the motivation that African students learn Chinese, then the strategy for foreign Chinese teaching can be made for the researchers. Full text content basically has the following five parts:The first chapter is the introduction, which discusses about the topic selection background and significance, the research methods and research value.The second chapter is the summary for Studies in Second Language Acquisition, which mainly discusses about the overseas and domestic research status and achievements for the Chinese characters learning motivation.The third chapter is the analysis of Chinese characters learning motivation of African students in primary level. The researcher uses the data statistics and analysis to conclude the real situation and characteristics for African students who just start to learn Chinese. Based on the results of research and analysis, the instrumental motivation is the main choice of their learning motivation.The fourth chapter is the teaching strategies to stimulate and cultivate Chinese characters learning motivation of African students in primary level. Teachers make use of classroom linguistic environment, a variety of teaching activities, the multimedia teaching resources, nonintellectual stimulation factors, proper textbook to stimulate and cultivate their Chinese characters learning motivation.The fifth chapter is the conclusion part which sums up all the contents of this paper and gives a conclusion to the results. At last, it refers to the innovation and deficiency of this paper.
